Pop-Up Exhibitions and Events

Each year, Edinburgh Art Festival invites proposals from artists, curators and organisations working in the field of visual art who do not have a year-round exhibition programme in Edinburgh. Proposals are assessed by a panel consisting of the Festival Director, Sorcha Carey and the Programme Committee.

Platform: 2017

Platform is a festival initiative aimed at supporting artists at the beginning of their careers to participate in the festival programme. Between 3–5 artists selected through open call are invited to present their work in a group exhibition as part of the festival. The selected artists are given an artist fee, a dedicated production budget, and supported by the festival team throughout the development and delivery of the exhibition.
