Overview

Art Early: 4 August: Stills, The Fruitmarket Gallery, Post a Story Club, Princes Street Gardens

Art Early is a series of programmed tours and activity trails for families and children of all ages. A family arts event inspired by our Art Late programme, join us for a morning of fun art activities at each venue, ending with an outdoor picnic.

This Art Early, inspired by photography and film, is suitable for all ages. We’ll meet at Stills on Cockburn Street to look at the Gunnie Moburg & Margaret Tait exhibition and participate in a photography workshop exploring points of view. We’ll move to the Fruitmarket Gallery for a storyboarding workshop with Post a Story Club where you will be using your images to create a story, inspired by the Tacita Dean exhibition. The morning will culminate with a picnic in Princes Street Gardens.

Free, BYOP (Bring Your Own Picnic).
Children must be accompanied by an adult. Booking required.

If you have a digital camera please bring it along. Any digital camera with a removable SD card will be fine. Stills has a limited number for people to borrow.
