Join Bea Webster for a BSL tour exploring two exhibitions: History is a Home by Trans Masc Studies and Carnal Desires by Sadao Hasegawa.
History is a Home transforms the gallery into a reading room and research space, bringing together queer ephemera, books, zines, and archival materials to imagine queer history as a site of belonging and connection. Alongside this, Carnal Desires presents a rare exhibition of gay fetish artist Sadao Hasegawa’s visionary paintings, where eroticism, folklore, science fiction, and fantasy collide in a vibrant queer universe. Together, the tour will explore collective themes across the powerful exploration of trans and queer histories, desires, and futures.
This event is held in partnership with Edinburgh Deaf Festival, and BSL will be facilitated by Elliot Webster Mockett and Lou Hanson.
