Volunteer Coordinator (freelance contract)

We are currently seeking to appoint a dedicated and efficient Volunteer Coordinator to develop, deliver and coordinate our successful volunteer programme for the 2017 festival (27 July to 27 August).

Edinburgh Art Festival is the largest annual festival of visual art within the UK and volunteers play a key role in the festival, being the first point of contact for audiences, and able to provide information on all festival activities including the public commissions programme.

The ideal candidate will have a keen knowledge of, and interest in, contemporary art and engagement. He/she will have experience of people management within the events, arts or not-for-profit sector, and experience of working with volunteers.

Kiosk Coordinator (freelance contract)

We are currently seeking to appoint a dedicated and efficient Kiosk Coordinator to manage the Festival Kiosk and Shop for the duration of the 2017 Edinburgh Art Festival (27 July to 27 August). 

Edinburgh Art Festival is the largest annual festival of visual art within the UK and the Festival Kiosk is the central public information point for the Festival, providing information about the Festival programme, and a one-stop shop for event and festival information and merchandise.  It also hosts the Platform exhibition - the Festival's dedicated opportunity for artists at the outset of their careers.  

The ideal candidate will have a keen knowledge of, and interest in, contemporary art and engagement. He/she will have experience of public facing roles within the events, arts or not-for-profit sector, and experience of working with volunteers. Retail experience is desirable (but not essential).
