Glasgow Leatherdykes: From History to Today

What does leather mean to you? What does it mean to build a community around it?

Glasgow Leatherdykes are a trans-led group who organise social nights for those who are into or just curious about leather and leather culture, through lesbian bar nights and bootblacking circles.

Join them to explore queer history leathercare and bootblacking, and the subculture that has developed around these practices. They will present a history of leatherdyke spaces, before giving attendees a chance to learn some techniques themselves. You do not have to be a lesbian to come to this event (but it helps)!

This event is held in partnership with Edinburgh Deaf Festival.
