EAF x Art Monthly Writers Award 2026

EAF is collaborating with Art Monthly magazine to support a writer to attend the festival and write in response to the EAF26 Programme. Through the Award, we aim to uplift writers who are from backgrounds currently underrepresented in cultural journalism.

The selection panel is Charlie Prodger, Kim McAleese (EAF) and Chris McCormack (Art Monthly).

The selected writer will:

Receive a fee of £250
Be supported to attend the EAF26 Press Tour (13—14 August)
Be commissioned to write one piece responding to any part of the Programme which interests them.
Have their work published, in print and online, at Art Monthly
Receive editorial support from Art Monthly editor, Chris McCormack

The chosen writer will also receive additional financial support towards any accommodations that would make the festival more accessible to them. The chosen writer is free to attend as much or as little of the press tour as they choose.
