Lee McCormack: A Magic Lantern

A Magic Lantern is the first solo exhibition by Niddrie photographer and former community worker Lee McCormack. Her powerful and sensitive photographs capture domestic scenes and social action between the late 1970s to early 2000s.

McCormack trained with the Film Workshop Trust and went on to work for Craigmillar Festival Society, Magic Lantern Van, Womenzone and Women’s Aid, engaging with diverse groups across Scotland. This collection of personal and joyful images offer a behind the scenes view of her life, and the community and art projects she was involved in.
