Victoria Crowe: Decades

PAST EVENT: This was part of the EAF25 programme.

For EAF25, The Scottish Gallery presented Victoria Crowe: Decades, celebrating the artist’s 80th year. This exhibition showcased a powerful collection of new works, offering a richly layered view of Crowe’s evolving practice.

Spanning six decades, Decades offered both a reflective and forward-looking perspective on an artist whose vision remains unwavering yet responsive to the world’s shifting tides. Rooted in themes of continuity, memory, and transformation, the exhibition revealed the enduring resonance of Crowe’s connection to place.

Decades looked back to move forward, giving a nuanced look at the artist’s progression through the years. By weaving together the strands of memory, place, and emotional depth, the exhibition not only revisited past explorations but also engaged with ongoing concerns, making it a powerful reflection of the artist’s life and work.
