Love Bites Back: Meet Del LaGrace Volcano

Weds 12 Aug | 5—6pm | EAF @ 92, 92 Constitution Street, Leith

An intimate evening with one of the world’s pioneering queer artists.

Join EAF for a special evening in conversation with Del LaGrace Volcano, the internationally renowned photographer whose work has documented and celebrated queer, trans and BDSM communities for over four decades.

Hosted by Kim McAleese, Director of EAF, alongside Eleanor Taylor, Curator, this intimate event offers a rare opportunity to hear directly from the artist about their groundbreaking practice, artistic journey and the themes that continue to shape their work today. Presented in partnership with Auto Italia, Del LaGrace Volcano’s exhibition is a highlight of EAF26 and forms part of an international collaboration between Edinburgh and London.

Private Tour with Emii Alrai

Discover one of EAF26’s major public commissions with the artist herself.

Join acclaimed British-Iraqi artist Emii Alrai for a private tour of her major new public artwork Guardian, one of the landmark commissions of EAF26.

Hosted by Kim McAleese, Director of EAF, alongside Eleanor Taylor, Curator, this exclusive artist-led experience offers unique insight into Alrai’s practice, exploring archaeology, museum collections, Middle Eastern mythology and personal oral histories through a monumental sculptural installation overlooking the city.

The tour offers the chance to hear directly from the artist about the ideas, research and making of the work, with time for conversation and questions in the company of fellow supporters of the Festival.
