National Union of Journalists: Representing Communities Panel Discussion

Join EAF and the National Union of Journalists and guests discussion event to discuss the social, cultural and ethical issues of working within communities.

The legacy of Sandra George’s life, community work and photographic archive provides the basis which to examine how the influence of social class, gender, and racial politics can shape community based practice. Reflecting on Sandra George’s work, the panel will discuss through their own experiences and principles, what should be considered as best practice when undertaking community projects.

The event is being supported by the National Union of Journalists in celebration of the life and work of Sandra George as a member, and their continuing commitment to both professional standards and working towards building a better and fairer UK media, representative of all. Audiences will also have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss the current work of the National Union of Journalists.
